As a second-generation orthodontist and a proud Westfield native, Dr. Scott Gersch is passionate about helping patients of all ages achieve confident, healthy smiles. Known for his clinical skill and friendly, energetic personality, Dr. Gersch enjoys getting to know each patient personally and guiding them through every phase of their orthodontic journey.
Dr. Gersch joined his father at Cranford Orthodontics in 2005, and alongside Dr. Stanley Gersch and Dr. Ilona Rossignol, he continues to serve patients throughout Cranford, Westfield, Linden, and surrounding communities with high-quality, customized care.

Education and Training
A lifelong Westfield resident, Dr. Gersch graduated from Westfield High School in 1995. He earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan in 1999, then completed dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine), where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2003. While there, he served as class president and received honors from the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
He completed his orthodontic residency at New York University College of Dentistry, where he served as Chief Resident and taught courses in Invisalign, radiology, and general dentistry.
Continuing Education and Research
Dr. Gersch is a strong advocate for lifelong learning. He has published award-winning research on aesthetics and quality of life in orthodontic care, presented at national and international conferences, and continues to serve as a clinical educator and speaker throughout the community.
He is also an attending staff member at Overlook Medical Center and an active member of multiple study clubs and dental education programs.

Away from the practice, Dr. Gersch is a proud family man, avid sports enthusiast, and active member of the community. He enjoys skiing, golfing, running, and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their children. A former lacrosse player at both Westfield High School and the University of Michigan, Dr. Gersch now enjoys cheering on Michigan Football, the New York Yankees, and the New Jersey Devils.
He also volunteers regularly and supports numerous local charities and organizations across the tri-state area.
